JUNIOR ARCHITECT

Who are we

AKMT is an expanding company in the sports events industry, our main task regarding Venue design relates to sporting events, with an emphasis on competition and non-competition venues and the surrounding environment. We provided competitive packages and the potential for remote or hybrid work arrangements depending on the project.

Qualifications

The Junior Architect will help plan and design sports venues’ operational and overlay designs along with a team of Architects. Will brainstorm project ideas, complete design drawings in AutoCAD and assist in reviewing project proposals, remaining a part of the process from conception through development.

You will assist in completing and filing much of the paperwork involved in the design process. Will create proposals and complete construction paperwork for buildings. To ensure that projects follow legal specifications and company procedures, you will ensure all required documents and paperwork are submitted before the construction process is started.

It is important that you maintain communication with all parties involved in the project. You will communicate with contractors to monitor the progress of your assigned project as you will be responsible for communicating with clients, noting their requests, answering their questions, and sending them project updates.

Coordinates Project Details

To assist the Architects, you will coordinate the project details from the architectural perspective. This will include building/structures specifications and dimensions, assisting with initial project research and outlining project schedules and tasks.

The ideal candidate has to be a logical thinker with an eye for detail and design and an ability to solve problems efficiently. Should be a highly organized multi-tasker who embraces flexibility and can prioritise many different duties and projects simultaneously. Meeting deadlines and being capable of communicating effectively with clients and a team player.

Core skills

  • Possessing a bachelor’s degree in architecture.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in AutoCAD. Knowledge of Revit would be considered a plus.
  • Having experience with construction documentation.
  • Showing internship experience with an architecture firm would be preferred.
  • Being able to use Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
